"The Last Slice" is a vectorized diptych inspired by the cartoon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (TMNT) using a limited color palette of cool and warm tones. In this project, I wanted to explore curved linear perspective, breaking away from my comfort zone of linear perspective. The left canvas has a more obvious curved linear perspective, while the right canvas resulted in a flat look and needed to be adjusted more. In the end, this project was a good experiment!
Skill: Affinity Designer and Adobe Photoshop

Learning more about retaining gamut in our digital images after printing, we experimented with color swatches before starting our illustrations. For all of my digital prints, I used Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II (17 x 22"). The paper is glossy and allows for pigment to really absorb compared to matte paper. The color swatches to the left are before being adjusted to in-gamut colors, while the color swatches to the right were adjusted using Adobe Photoshop. Although my final illustrations were originally out of gamut, the EPSON printer adjusted well and only slightly changed the colors after printing.
